If you are convicted of a new criminal offence, your criminal record for which you have received a record suspension for may be brought back. In the case of new indictable offences, this process is automatic.
When determining whether to revoke a record suspension when the individual who had a record suspension is subsequently convicted of a summary offence, the Board will consider all relevant information, including past convictions that have received record suspensions including:
Information that suggests a significant disregard for public safety and order and/or laws and regulations, given the offender’s criminal history.
Whether the new offence is consistent with the offence for which the record suspension had been issued or granted.
The time period since satisfaction of all sentences.
If, for whatever reason your record suspension is revoked by the National Parole Board, you can reapply for a record suspension once you meet the eligibility requirements again.
