What Do You Need To Do To Have Your Records Removed?
- Apply for a record purge with Express Pardons
- Provide a photocopy of two pieces of identification.
- Obtain a set of fingerprints for the purpose of a pardon. (Our team will provide the guidance on when and where to go to have these done).
That’s it! Express Pardons takes care of the rest!
Fingerprints are required to obtain a certified criminal record from the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), for submission with your purge petition. After a record purge specialist has reviewed succesful case history for purges at the relevant police board(s), the Express Pardons team builds a petition to the relevant police board(s). In rare cases, additional documentation is required in support of a record destruction application, in which case you will be contacted accordingly.
Express Pardons petitions to have your records removed, include two components; one to affect the recall and destruction of your Federal Identification file (including fingerprints and photographs), and one to affect the closure of your local police file.
Should our investigations reveal the existence of a court record, Express Pardons may also make a submission to the Provincial court to have a court record closed to the public.
“Do I Get Some Form Of Record Purge Confirmation?”
Yes, Express Pardons will forward you an acknowledgment that our petition has been accepted, and then the confirmation that the purge and records destruction has been completed. In some instances, a record purge ceremony can be held, and you may witness the records destroyed.
