Obtaining Certified Criminal Records
When appropriate, Express Pardons utilizes the (CCRTIS) Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services’ RTID system to expedite the return of certified criminal record results required for your pardon. The RTID system consists of a new Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and Workflow Manager. Currently, CCRTIS uses the system to electronically verify civil and criminal fingerprints against those in the national repository. The criminal functionality includes latent (crime scene) and ten print fingerprint searching. CCRTIS clients are benefiting from the advanced matching capabilities of the RTID AFIS and improved service delivery times made possible by electronic processing.

Expediting through the Clemency and Pardons Screening and Approval
Phase 1 – Screening – According to the Board, 25% of applications submitted by individuals or less qualified pardon services are rejected from the Parole Board because they are incomplete or ineligible for consideration. Express Pardons’ expertise guarantees your application passes screening and is accepted for immediate consideration. Express Pardons works closely with the Board during this crucial phase of your pardon application to ensure a quick turnaround. Express Pardons obtains written acknowledgement of acceptance of your pardon claim from the Board in 2 – 3 weeks from the time of submission.
Phase 2 – Assignment to Duty Officer, Investigation – In this phase, your claim is assigned to a duty officer who evaluates the claim and investigates its merits. Express Pardons prepares your pardon petition to ensure approval.
Phase 3 – Consideration by the Board – The pardon must be forwarded to a Board member for a decision. Because of bureaucracy and scheduling strains, this requirement can significantly increase the processing time required before your pardon can be approved. Fortunately, Express Pardons has obtained intimate knowledge of the Board’s internal procedural manual. As a client of Express Pardons, our most senior advisors will consult one-on-one with you to construct a request for Urgency status from the Board. When successful, Urgency Status can fast-track your pardon by 6 months or more. Not convinced? Take another look at the reasons why you should apply through Express Pardons for your Canadian pardon.
